Striking British Airways unions: sue the bastards.

So: lots of people who have worked their asses off all year have paid good money to buy flights abroad to see family and friends for Christmas.

You would think some kind of contract exists between British Airways and the flyers. But some trade union has just, unilaterally decided to void that deal by unilaterally deciding on a 12 day strike over Christmas, thereby ruining approximiately 1,000,000 flights and the same number of Christmases.

A lot of people will be sweating and worrying tonight. Why can't every person so upset drag Unite's sorry collectivised asses into court and sue them for the return of their fare (including ruinous taxes), credit card fees and the costs of any replacement ticket plus damages for distress and annoyance. That'd make 'em think again before holding people's holidays to ransome.
